Nourishing and Nurturing the Body, Mind and Soul
Nourishing and Nurturing the Body, Mind and Soul
I am a health and wellness practitioner in the Seattle area. I empower individuals to take a greater role in their own health by taking small sustainable steps to create significant positive changes in their wellbeing. I do this by incorporating ancient wisdom and practices from Yoga and Ayurveda that are backed by modern science to help address common problems such as digestive health, stress, sleep, energy, etc.
I specialize in women’s health (perimenopause to post menopause) and offer tools and techniques from Yoga and Ayurveda (such as yoga asanas, pranayama, meditation, diet, lifestyle tips) that address the common symptoms experienced by women during menopause). To that end, I have created My Power Pause, to empower women through their menopausal journey and reframe this stage of their lives in a positive light as it has become for me.
I am also passionate about photography, I have personally experienced healing through this art form (by being in front of the camera) and discovered myself at a deeper level. It has given me access into my deeper self and has healed and empowered me in a way that I could have never imagined. Which is why I have created a visual therapy offering called Soul Photography.
Swastha is the Sanskrit word for health and wellbeing or more accurately, “being firmly established/rooted in one’s own self”. This is what I strive for myself and in my offerings to others. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Below are some of my relevant certifications:
- Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist (2012)
- Registered Yoga Teacher (2001)
- Menopause Yoga Instructor (2023)

Ayurveda, literally translated, means “Science of Life”. It is a traditional medicine of India and is considered the healing side of yoga. The basic principle of Ayurveda is to prevent and treat illness by maintaining or re-establishing balance in the body, mind, and consciousness through diet, lifestyle, herbs, and other therapies. Since no two people are alike, Ayurveda works to provide a customized plan for each individual based on their unique mind-body constitution.
I take a holistic approach to health coaching, focusing on the whole person - mind, body, and spirit. I work with my clients to identify their unique health goals and create a personalized plan that fits their lifestyle and needs. My goal is to empower clients to make sustainable changes that will improve their health and well-being.
